Peace be with all of you.
As I begin this sacred journey as the Bishop of Rome and shepherd of the Catholic Church, I extend my heart to each of you with humility and hope. I thank God for this calling, and I thank you for your prayers and support.
I wish to honor Pope Francis, whose courage and compassion have inspired the world. With deep respect for his leadership, I now invite us all to walk together — to move forward without fear, united in faith, hand in hand with God and one another.
Together, let us continue the mission of the Church: to serve the poor, welcome the marginalized, and bring the peace of Christ to every corner of the world. May we be a Church that listens, that embraces, and that brings healing to those in need.
Please pray for me, as I will pray for you. May the love of Christ guide us always.
